Gwaun Cottage
Ceredigion
Gwaun Cottage sits on the edge of the Teifi Valley, where the landscape rolls toward Pembrokeshire's Preseli Hills. The village of Cenarth, famous for its salmon leaps and waterfalls, is within reach for exploring or dining out. Coastal footpaths are nearby for longer walks, and the countryside around here is crossed by numerous routes through the hills themselves.
The cottage is one of six restored barns on a shared site. Inside, everything happens on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a double bedroom, and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are provided, along with wood for the burner. There's a front garden with patio seating and a barbecue, plus access to shared grounds that include a golf practice area, children's play equipment and a games room. You can park two cars on site, and there's an electric car charging point.
The place suits two people, and one pet is welcome provided it stays on a lead—this is sheep country. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.
