Aberporth sits on the Ceredigion coast where the beach at its heart draws families year-round. The golden sand stretches wide at low tide, backed by caves and rock pools that appear as the water recedes. A coastal footpath runs past, and the National Trust property at Penbryn lies within easy reach. Near the Beach is a detached house positioned to take full advantage: it sits on the edge of the village, far enough back for peace, close enough that the seafront is a genuine walk rather than a drive.

The layout puts everything on one level. A living room with Smart TV and patio doors opens onto a garden where you can sit out; a separate dining room and well-equipped kitchen handle cooking and eating. The master bedroom has its own ensuite shower room. Two further bedrooms—one double, one with twin singles—share a family bathroom with a bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. The kitchen has what you need to prepare proper meals: electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher. Three parking spaces sit on the property itself.

Cardigan, a market town with restaurants, shops and an 11th-century castle, is ten minutes away by car. The area suits families with young children, though children of any age will find beaches, rock pools and the coastal walks absorbing. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4pm; you'll need to leave by 10am on departure day.

If you can survive the drive down this is a very special beach. Cafe and car park and toilets then a short walk to the most amazing beach.

One of loads of beautiful beaches in the area. Narrow lanes, tricky parking and a steep walk down to the beach (there is a drop off by the beach for those who can't manage the descent). Absolutely worth it when you get there. Large expanse of sand with cliffs and rocks.

Nice sandy beach, kids had great fun! However, the toilets weren't the best, both gents urinals were blocked and the ladies had no loo roll. Bonus was that the parking machine was out of order so we had free parking. We didn't realise until we'd walked down to the beach with 3 young children plus picnic, buckets & spades, beach tent etc, that there is a drop off point at the bottom of the hill, so bear this in mind when visiting, makes life a lot easier!

Nice, quiet and relaxed. Great for my dog. Nice little cafe nearby. Parking is £6 cash, the parking app doesn’t work as there’s no phone reception.
