Seadrift

Ceredigion

Built in 1836 for New Quay's fishing community, Seadrift is a terraced stone cottage overlooking the sea. The property has three bedrooms and one bathroom, accommodating up to four guests. One dog can stay free. The layout spreads across three levels, with a double and single bedroom upstairs, a further double on the ground floor next to the bathroom, and the main living spaces downstairs on the lower ground floor.

The living and dining room has original beams and a wood burner. French doors open on to a tiered patio and enclosed courtyard garden, both with views toward the water. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave. Wifi is included, along with bed linen, towels, heating and electricity. The initial fuel for the wood burner is provided. There are steps down to the lower ground floor and within the courtyard; this is a right of way for adjacent properties. No smoking throughout.

New Quay is walkable from the door, a small harbour town that inspired Dylan Thomas. The Ceredigion coast around it offers 60 miles of walking paths. A public car park is 85 yards away (£2.60 per day). Check-in is after 17:00 and checkout before 09:00.
