The Retreat

Llangoedmor sits inland from Cardigan Bay, close enough to the beaches and cliffs for a proper seaside holiday but far enough to feel properly rural. The Retreat is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house that sleeps six, set on its own with an enclosed garden, summerhouse and parking for three cars. It's the kind of place where you can arrive, close the gate, and have the run of it entirely to yourselves.

Inside, the ground floor has a living room with a woodburner, a dining room and a kitchen fitted with everything you need to cook properly—electric oven, gas hob, range cooker, dishwasher, wine cooler and the rest. There's also a utility room. Upstairs are two kingsize bedrooms, each with their own ensuite shower room, plus a third bedroom with two single beds and a family bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included, as is the heating and fuel for the fire. The garden has outdoor furniture and a barbecue; there's a summerhouse for quieter moments.

Cardigan is a short drive away with independent shops, bars and restaurants. The Retreat is non-smoking.
