Ty Christian works well for small families or couples after a quiet rural base within reach of the coast. The detached stone cottage has two bedrooms—a double and a single—plus a bathroom, sleeping four. A second single bed (a futon) is on a galleried first-floor space. The essentials are covered: bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating included, with logs for the woodburner provided too.
The ground floor holds the main living space, with a woodburner set into a stone fireplace, Freeview TV and DVD player. The kitchen/dining room has a dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer for longer stays. There is a garden with furniture and a BBQ, plus secure parking on site. One dog stays free. The rural setting sits within three miles of the National Trust Coastal Path and Cwm Tydu's shingle cove; New Quay's harbour, beach and sailing are five miles away. The village pub and restaurant is a mile and a half off. Note that the property has steps in the garden and steep stairs indoors, and no smoking is permitted.

Very quaint traditional cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Great position for travelling around the area, and kitchen fully equipped for family meals. There are a few things that could be improved inside the cottage which is why we gave 3 stars and not 4.

The cottage is in a fabulous location, within walking distance to many beaches and coves. I found the cottage very clean, cosy and traditional, it was very much a home from home. There is a lovely wood burner with plenty of logs and a lovely large garden that’s safe for dogs and children. The host was very helpful and was easy to get hold of for anything. My family and I couldn’t fault the cottage in any way and we would love to stay again.
