Wild Meadow Camping - Misty Shepherds Hut
Ceredigion

This shepherd's hut at Wild Meadow Camping is built in the old style but arranged for modern living. It sits alone in its own meadow with garden seating and parking for one car, giving you genuine privacy rather than a crowded pitch. Inside, there are two bedrooms—one double, one with bunks—a combined living and dining space, and a kitchenette equipped for self-catering. The single bathroom is shared with other properties on the site; showers are available externally. Electricity and bed linen are included in the price.
Positioned between Llandysul and the Ceredigion coast, the hut works well as a base for exploring beaches and countryside. The owners know the area thoroughly and can point you toward nearby walks and swimming spots. The meadow setting is deliberately quiet—there is no television, which tilts the balance toward outdoor time rather than indoor entertainment. No smoking is allowed inside. The hut suits couples or small families looking for a slower pace, though the bunk beds mean children fit comfortably enough. Check-in is from 15:30 and checkout before 10:00.

Stayed 2 nights in the Shepherd's hut. We had a wonderful stay. The hut is extremely comfortable and the location quiet which made for an excellent night sleep. The hut is very well catered for. The facilities are of great quality and clean. Andy could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend for an escape to nature. .

Great campsite!! Lovely to be welcomed by the owner Andy, and given a very informative tour of the site, facilities and lots of additional info about things to do on site and in the local vicinity. The facilities, built by owners, were immaculately clean, walls and cubicle doors to the ceiling (great for privacy) and a real treat that they were heated. Great location for visiting local beaches and Andy has loads of information about the best ones to visit. Can’t think of anything negative to say about our trip, we will 100% be returning 😊

Absolutely gorgeous campsite. Amazing area and beautiful views. Friendly cows next door. Andy was friendly and helpful and so accommodating. The showers and toilets were beautifully clean and very private with full walls and doors. Would be great to come back here with kids because there's also a fun little stream area for them to explore. Will be back next year!
