About Travelodge Chatham Maritime Hotel

Six floors and ninety rooms make up Travelodge Chatham Maritime Hotel, positioned by the River Medway close to the Historic Dockyard and a nearby retail park. It's a straightforward, functional stay rather than a boutique one, with pets welcome and free WiFi included throughout.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, drinks facilities and accessible options where needed, though some rooms can show signs of wear between refurbishments. On site there's a bar and restaurant along with breakfast service, and a lift serves all floors. A Costa Coffee sits nearby for those wanting an alternative, and the surrounding area has pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach, plus a golf course for those wanting to venture a little further.

Parking is available on site but is chargeable and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional parking options detailed via Travelodge directly. Staff are generally noted as friendly and helpful, even if service can occasionally be slow at busier times. For those visiting the Historic Dockyard or exploring Chatham Maritime, the location itself is the main draw.

Stayed here several times since 2024, decent rooms, there is some sort of plumbing issues in even room. But, the staff is also happy to change the rooms tho. Compared to the other hotels very reasonable pricing in the area. Expensive breakfast tho, overall a good place to stay, nothing much to complain about. Staff is always ready to do the job.

Only thing about this travel lodge was location. In this day and age 2026 one wouldn’t expect to pay for WiFi. 30 mins free is a joke. Bathroom taps full of limescale. No where to put small items of clothing.nk where in shower to set any washing items. Etc soap, sponge etc. carpet had dirty marks on it. Mirror above the table and chair was dirty. No bedside small unit. Smell from drains in bathroom were awful. Flush on toilet very poor. Will I be back here. Absolutely not. Brenda McCarthy room 306.

It was great to spend time in Chatham maritime Travelodge. The rooms are very spacious and the staff is very helpful. No problem in parking.I will definitely recommend this hotel for next time stay and one more thing is a beautiful lake view. In a hurry I left my phone charger there and I called them back next morning regarding my forgotten item. I spoke to a person called LACEY ,she was very helpful and told me that hotel staff found the charger and reported to the reception. LACEY worked out that how to send this item back to me.I must say she is a very capable employee as she has problem solving ability. Thank you Lacey.

Great location and some free parking available. Hotel was well presented in reception and cafe and bar area. Our room for the price was good value. Unfortunately it was a little outdated in places and needed some maintenance could have been cleaner but bed was ok. Did not enjoy using cafe as service was very slow and not good value. Breakfast was poorly managed but staff are lovely. Overall it seems they are short staffed and lacking ability to cater for the guests.
