Smart, simple site. Well defined, flat gravel pitches with neatly mown grass between. Surrounded by fields. Adjacent to a quiet road, some traffic during the day but none at night. Easy to communicate with the owner. At £30 including EHU,i think it is expensive, which probably explains why there were only 2 occupants on the nicest weekend so far this year , when Banburgh Links road was full the night before.

I drove past here yesterday and the site is gone. The fencing remains but everything else has gone. There are boulders across the entrance.

A really excellent CL, clean, tidy & well-maintained. Basic facilities - grey water, cassette disposal & water are located just opposite the entrance (so a reasonable distance from the pitches). Large level grass pitches and an open location. The site has CCTV for security. The farm is privately owned and one outstanding provision is a broad grassy path skirting the fields all the way to Embleton Bay (see map in photos). There's just one road to cross and there you'll pass the holiday homes & apartments which belong to the farm. The walk takes 30-40 minutes and includes fabulous views across the bay to Dunstanburgh castle. There's also a large picnic table & benches en route, taking in the view, there's even a stone mound to put a small barbecue on. If you're looking for really good food for very slightly above average pub prices check out The Ship at Low Newton - but best to book a table when you book your trip - it's extremely popular and there's little chance of getting in on the day.

Lovely little site. Ideally placed to walk to the beach about 30 mins or into Embleton about 15 mins where there are two pubs and a farm shop
