Beautiful room (second floor Motmot no 215) in a lovely hotel. Great location : feels like your in the middle of a big reserve but actually you're just 10 minute stroll to Santa, Elena town. The breakfast was beautiful, nice to have full service not buffet. As with the whole of Costa Rica the service was excellent : knowledgeable and friendly staff in all roles

The cycling sessions for disabled people at David Weir Leisure Centre are absolutely wonderful. The staff are very supportive, patient, and encouraging. The environment feels safe and inclusive, making it enjoyable for everyone regardless of ability. It’s a great place to build confidence, stay active, and feel part of a community.”

For any Club looking to run a competition at the DWLC Track - beware: 1. No cage for Discus & Hammer and apparently no ambition or plans to get this fixed 2. Inadequate shot/javelins provided. Unless you bring your own throwing equipment - or have a Field Referee who knows where the DWLC keeps the equipment you are likely to be presented with amongst other things - an indoor shot, not enough of each of the weights asked for and the shots themselves poorly if at all marked; a shortage of javelins - asked for x3 of everything ended up with x2 800g, x1 700g; asked for 3 tapes only got 2, 3. Belatedly asked for the overflow car park to be opened but this did not happen because no staff could be found. From what I understand the overflow car park is rarely open. 4. Communication from DWLC is poor - I wrote over a week ago to give feedback and I got zero reply. Not even an acknowledgment that the email had arrived.... 5. Booking sheet is substandard for schools and the Equipment list absolutely not good enough for clubs looking to hold a meeting 6. The scales and high jump measure is of an excellent standard 7. So much is done poorly - yet this used to be a premium venue for Track & Field... My advice is plan well ahead and email/message/phone and do everything in triplicate if you have to... in order to get what you need for your meeting

I decided to stop training here as the situation with CHEER ( unity allstars) has become unbearable. I haven't been able to park in the car park for over 6 months because of parents sitting in their cars waiting whilst members are left to park on surrounding roads. Parents and children are constantly loitering in the corridors of the centre, often not moving out of the way when trying to enter the gym. Last week a lady was knocked off her bike by one of the parents in the car park, today there was a fight between 2 parents of the cheerleaders. So many members have left because of their rude, entitled behaviour. No staff seem to do anything about it. Ive seen 2 men leaving the class with their tops off, totally unacceptable in any gym. They push in front of people at the vending machine and the water fountain....I could literally go on and on about the cheerleaders and parents behaviour. It's disgusting. The sooner they leave, the better. Then members may return and people will be able to park again and navigate their way around the gym without these people getting in the way.
