After visiting Cotswold Lavender Farm, we stopped by Hayles Fruit Farm, which is about a 20-minute drive away – a nice addition to the day. There’s plenty of parking available, which makes it easy when arriving. The site itself is spacious, clean, and has toilets on site as well. We had lunch there and were pleasantly surprised by the variety. There’s a good selection of sandwiches (served on thick-cut bread), sausage rolls, and a nice range of cakes. Although there isn’t a dedicated children’s menu, they do offer simple options like cheese or ham sandwiches, which worked well. Lunch (sandwiches and drinks) came to £45.90 for 2 adults and 2 children, which felt like good value considering the portion sizes and quality. Service was reasonably quick even while it was busy. There’s also a farm shop and areas to sit both indoors and outdoors. We chose to sit outside, which was lovely as it overlooks the strawberry fields a really nice view while eating. The farm itself is quite big, but when we visited, only strawberries and red berries were available for picking. The strawberries were especially sweet, although not many large ones at the time likely because it’s still early in the season. That said, if you take your time and look a bit deeper into the plants, you can still find some good-sized ones. The red berries were also very sweet. We picked two trays (strawberries and red berries) which came to £11.95, which felt reasonable. There’s a new children’s play area, although it was closed during our visit as it’s still under construction. Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxed visit with good food, fresh fruit, and a pleasant setting. Definitely worth stopping by, especially if you’re already in the area.

A truly wonderful place where apples and pears are grown with care. I visited with my boyfriend to meet my friends, and we brought our dogs along, they loved it too! The café is charming and offers a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The food was delicious, and after eating, we enjoyed a lovely walk through the fields and along the river. There’s also a campsite on site, perfect for staying a little longer. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, this farm feels like a little slice of heaven. They even have a shop filled with amazing local goodies. I highly recommend visiting!
