About Citrus Hotel Cheltenham by Compass Hospitality
Cheltenham's pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues are all within easy reach of Citrus Hotel Cheltenham by Compass Hospitality, making Wellington Street a handy base for exploring the town on foot. There's a golf course nearby too, and plenty of walking areas for those who'd rather stretch their legs than book a tee time.
The hotel has 59 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Facilities include a restaurant and bar on site, a snack bar, a garden, and a lift for guests who'd rather skip the stairs. Breakfast is continental-style and well stocked, and the showers in the rooms are a particular strong point. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. That said, some rooms show signs of wear, and noise between rooms has been raised as an issue, so it's worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper.
Beyond the rooms, guests have access to free WiFi, laundry service, luggage storage and meeting rooms, and the hotel also hosts weddings. Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking makes it straightforward for anyone arriving by car.

What guests say
The room initially assigned smelled as though a smoker had been staying there for at least a month: the carpet, the curtains, even the bed were permeated with the smell. It’s impossible that the person responsible for cleaning the room didn’t notice. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only redeeming aspect was the excellent service provided by the receptionist on duty that afternoon, who was very understanding and changed my room. Thank you again for your professionalism and great work!

I cannot recommend this property for summer travel due to the following major issues: No Air Conditioning: The rooms are unacceptably hot because the AC is not running; only a small fan is provided. Poor Dining: The breakfast selection and quality were highly substandard. Save your money and book elsewhere if you are visiting in the summer.

What a great place to meet up with my two sisters after such a very very long time as separated from each other , now we have all met together it’s given us all the means to move forward with our lives and citrus hotel and staff were at the heart of this reunion…. We will all be back on a pilgrimage each year now 😎 Thank you for all you help support and general knowledge of your area and for all that you helped pass on to us to help make this moment so special. To all a very big thank you score 11/10 as far as I’m concerned

Miserable experience. Room is dirty everywhere and stinks of cigarette, no soap in the bathroom, the double bed is actually two single beds that keep separating from each others, everything is dusty and stained. Noise from outside keeps you awake at night. No parking due to no space being available (no sign or notice whatsoever) No care whatsoever. Didn’t request a room change cause I was travelling for work and I couldn’t be bothered, I needed sleep. Overall one of the worst places I’ve been to. Do not recommend.
