Heritage Wharf
Cheshire East
Heritage Wharf is a detached property on the Macclesbie Canal, arranged over two floors to sleep up to 13 guests. Ground level has an open-plan living and dining space with wood burner, a fully equipped kitchen, utility room, and three bedrooms—one with a king bed and ensuite, two others with double and single beds each. Upstairs is a fifth bedroom with two singles, suitable for children. There are three bathrooms across the property, with cots and a highchair available. Parking is on site, and the enclosed garden and patio overlook the canal and surrounding countryside.
Everything needed for self-catering is provided: bed linen, towels, wi-fi, and heating. The kitchen contains a range, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. Within 100 yards is fishing (a licence is required), while canal boat hire can be arranged with the owner at a discounted rate. The location suits families and larger groups wanting a base in rural Cheshire; Little Moreton Hall (National Trust) is 1 mile away, Congleton town is 5 miles, and the Peak District National Park begins 10 miles north. Nearby attractions include Quarry Bank Mill, Tatton Park, Jodrell Bank Science Centre and Alton Towers. A village shop is three-quarters of a mile off, and a small marina shop operates seasonally on the adjacent boatyard. No smoking.
