Hippo’s Rest

Newcastle-under-Lyme sits at the junction of three counties—Cheshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent—putting it within reach of the Peak District, National Trust estates and the Potteries heritage trail. Hippo's Rest is a two-storey semi-detached property on the edge of town, giving you a base that's both accessible and removed.

Downstairs, an open-plan living space with patio doors overlooks your own garden area, where you can eat outside. The kitchen is fitted for proper cooking rather than holiday shortcuts. Upstairs, a bedroom with a king bed and a shower room complete the accommodation. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available if needed. You have the whole place to yourselves, though the owners live adjacent and there's a shared pond garden beyond your patio.

The town itself has a pub less than a mile away, with a shop three-quarters of a mile and restaurants at 1.5 miles. No smoking indoors. Parking is on site.
