Stopped as this was easy to get from M6. A Lovely place, friendly and really quite when the New Toilet & Shower Block is completed it will be better as its Under Construction now. However the shower I had was reasonable hot so no problem there. All you need for a quite stop off reasonable priced

Thankfully it was only a one night stop over enroute to Scotland, we drove past it twice there’s no signage from the main road. We visit 20+ sites a year and this is the only place we’ve been to with a height restriction barrier that’s about the height of a caravan?! so you cannot just drive in to reception! Electricity kept tripping it was late so left it until breakfast time before reporting. Shower block was the worst we have ever ever encountered! Read other reviews ! Traffic noise kept us awake it was constant. Will never stay here again or recommend

We love this campsite. Richard, the owner/farmer is very friendly and welcoming. Site is well looked after, grass cut, lovely little gardens with plants / flowers dotted about. The facilities, while a little old and basic, are always clean. There's everything you need, toilet/shower block, laundry, washing up facilities. They also have a fishing pond, but we've not used that. It's a working farm and you can expect to see cows, and the farm dog is very friendly too. Quite close to supermarkets / pubs etc. Mostly a very peaceful campsite, obviously on nice nights people like to sit out together but no more than any other campsite we've visited. There is a hardstanding area or a field to choose from. Overall, a beautiful well-kept campsite.
