Malpas Retreats - The Coach House
Cheshire West and Chester
Photo: Google Maps
Rural Cheshire offers easy access to Chester's historic centre and the market towns scattered across the Welsh borders, yet feels genuinely remote. The Coach House sits within 3 acres of farmland, a converted outbuilding on a working property where the owners live nearby. Inside, it's a proper family base: three king-size bedrooms (plus a single day bed), two bathrooms including one with a jacuzzi, a kitchen with everything needed for self-catering, and a living room with Smart TV. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included; heating runs on a schedule but can be extended for an extra charge.
The grounds have a stream running through them, a shared sitting area with the owners, and a children's play space. There's a front garden with barbecue and seating. On-site parking fits three cars. Families appreciate the cot, highchair and stairgate provided, along with toys and games; the owners also keep chickens, which tends to occupy children thoroughly. The walking is strong here—the Sandstone Trail starts nearby for those who want proper countryside rambles. No smoking throughout. There are steps at the entrance and the stream in the grounds to bear in mind.
