Great walks and views. Fishing lake, Quiet spot, other than a bit of road noise. Great farm shop and café. Lovely staff, food choices and quality is really good. Definitely a good base for getting into Chester. Park and ride close by.

2nd time going in August as its a beautiful place, nice toilets and showers, hammocks are great addition even saw a chicken roaming and bunny. Despite being off the road it's so lovely sitting outside tent enjoying the views. Owners are so kind. Our first time camping and we went back, not busy very peaceful. Can get the park and ride cheap to go into Chester which I didn't know until 2nd visit but it makes so much sense as driving round Chester can be a little faff. 20 min drive from retail park that has bowling and food places and b&m. Will definitely return in warmer season getting a bit cold for little one :) thank you!

My husband booked a 2 night stay (31st August) in the hut, so he could unwind with some fishing.. The hut is a little gem with everything you need and more...( I love the ninja for cooking).. The hosts were easy to contact via phone on arrival and Karen was such a warm and approachable host who provided us extra wood for the fire and really interesting information about the surrounding area..Thanks Karen ✨️ The lake is well stocked and the hammocks in the trees along the well maintained trail were a great find.. The hut was easily accessible by car and a 10 minute drive to Sainsbury's supermarket and shops. The on site antique shop was a little aladins cave..and the cafe provided us with the most exceptional breakfast I have ever tasted ( sausages were 5 star). Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤️ Amanda and Jason

.We booked and paid for 3 nights but had to leave a day early. The unused night fee was kindly refunded. Thank you. The caravan site is set well back from the road. The shower/ toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. Nice walk in the surrounding fields and lake. The shop and cafe were useful and interesting. Being so close to Chester was our draw and I recommend this caravan site
