What guests say
We didn’t stay at the hotel but took advantage of their £25 spa and fizz package for the 1-5pm session. First impressions of the hotel were excellent. The team that greeted us were friendly and welcoming and every other team member we encountered was lovely. The spa facilities are wonderful and clean. The roof terrace was a fantastic place to start our afternoon with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the space. I’d love to come back and stay and really enjoy the experience as a whole but anyone wanting to use the spa for the day I would recommend booking. Three steam rooms, sauna, lane pool and a large outdoor and indoor hydro/jacuzzi pool! We found the whole day so relaxing!

The location is lovely and the staff we spoke with were very nice especially the bar staff who also did amazing cocktails although I think a mutual benefit would be to perhaps have some more staff in the area as the two on the bar never seemed to catch a break although did well managing customers. Big downside was ceiling of the spa had a large amount of mould on it which was very off putting and lead to us not using our entire spa time that we paid for.Understandable the high level of moisture and warmth in the area but as a known condition for mould I think more action should be taken to prevent or regularly remove/clean affected areas, due to the size of the area you could tell it has been there for awhile and lead to us not wanting to go both days we had booked at the hotel when the spa was a big draw for us We requested a upper floor room on booking, we understand where the hotel may be busy but on appearance it was very quiet across all dates we were there and we were stuck on a ground floor room; would have proffered to wait to check in for a higher floor if it was just a case of waiting for a room to be ready but the request wasn’t even acknowledged on check in.

I’ve used this hotel for business “up north” for years. Such a friendly welcome from the reception team last night prompted me to put a review together. The friendly welcome is almost guaranteed the hotel itself especially the new wing is light and airy and such a nice feeling from the rooms facing into the garden. Room service pretty consistent and reasonably quick given the hotel is usually close to fully booked when I’ve used room service. I’ve not been a spar customer but the pool is decent for a post work swim. Garden is lovely for a beer on a summers evening. Breakfast good choice and also pretty consistent. The team at this hotel are always services with a smile. Keep up the good work!

A beautiful hotel, very comfortable beds & pillows. Very limited television channels in the room, however this was only on for background l, so no real downside! Breakfast is self service and we were told "Help yourself to as little or as much as you like" The quality of the food was wonderful, great bacon & eggs, could maybe do with a few more self service coffee machines, however, again to real drama. Overall, I loved our stay here and we would definitely be back. Well done to the whole team. 👍
