About Lordington Park

Set in glorious parkland within the South Downs National Park, Lordington Park combines spectacular scenery with genuine rural peace. The manicured camping field overlooks the estate's big house and delivers stunning sunsets on clear evenings, while spacious grass pitches give each tent plenty of breathing room. Each pitch comes with its own firepit, and facilities include composting loos, warm showers, and washing-up areas – though there's no electricity, keeping things refreshingly simple.

Countryside walks and cycle routes lead straight from your pitch into the Downs, and the friendly, accommodating hosts have earned warm praise from guests who also rave about the on-site tearoom's homemade cakes. Cars park a short wheelbarrow-trundle away to preserve the field's tranquillity. The nearest pub is a half-hour stroll, or pop into Lordington village just five minutes on foot.

My husband and I enjoyed our second stay at this beautiful, quiet escape from it all. Super dog friendly especially with the enclosed paddock. Harriet and the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Rooms are well appointed and very generously sized. The breakfast was superb and we enjoyed delicious cakes from the tearoom on our last day, which are a must! Already looking forward to our next visit. Jody and Pav

We love coming here especially in the summer sitting in the garden and watching the House martins darting in and out of their nests. The tea room has lovely cakes and breakfast baps winter time the beef stew is very warming we would definitely recommend. We are fairly local so no need to stay but the accommodation looks amazing.

Lordington Park is a class of its own. We’ve as a family of four have never done a stay like this. Completely offline and creating our own entertainment, but it was so refreshing. Playing down by the stream, and on the beautiful land they have. Watching the baby lambs roam free on the fields and learning all about how they care for them. Our relatives were already staying in the cottage there so we made a day trip down to visit and ended up staying for two nights! One of the staff there called Harriet was absolutely incredible, with accommodating us, stopping by to check in and see if we needed anything. Everyone there works tirelessly and This family run hotel makes you feel like family when staying there. We will certainly be back and Thankyou for everything Harriet & all the team at Lordington Park!

We only visit on a daily basis, but have never stayed overnight. But it is a beautiful venue for an overnight staycation. The house is located amidst rolling green countryside set sufficiently far from roads and traffic noise. The grounds surrounding the main house are magnificent and very well tended.
