Irishman's Tower is a conversion of a 17th-century garrison tower, part of the Grade I listed Hoghton Tower complex on a Lancashire hilltop. The building retains its original character—heavily beamed ceilings downstairs, exposed stone walls upstairs—alongside essentials like electric heating, Wi-Fi and bed linen. The single bedroom contains a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. Downstairs, a living and dining room centres on an open fire, and the kitchen is fitted with an electric hob, combi oven, dishwasher and fridge. Fuel for the fire is included.
The property sleeps two and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Parking is free and on site. A pub lies within a mile. The tower stands within the grounds of Hoghton Tower itself, where the public can visit during opening hours; there are seasonal events including farmers' markets and guided tours of the historic house. No smoking is permitted indoors.
