We went on a guided tour lead by Jason Karl. It was actually fascinating. The house has such an interesting history, and it's wonderful to see it still so cared for. For £5 it was incredible value for money, and Jason's knowledge and passion for the property really hook's you in. Nice coffee and cake in the cafe too ☕️ 🎂

The venue was good apart from main road being next to the Wedding ceremony room. Wedding break was good but served warm to cold. The evening bacon and sausage roll were disgusting as the were under cooked. If it was a trained chef who cooked this they should be sacked as they were either incompetent or lazy. Dri k prices were exceptionally high so I drank tap water

We got married here and had the most beautiful wedding day on Valentine's Day 2026 at Samlesbury Hall. From our ceremony which was in the beautiful chapel (Whittaker Room); our reception for drinks and canapés; then the Great Hall for our three course wedding breakfast, we couldn't have asked for better hospitality, especially from Naomi. The food was amazing with so many compliments, even from both our chefs, one being the husband. The Hall is stunning and with its history made it the perfect place to spend our day and get the most stunning photographs by our photographer Kyle Mac (who also got many compliments). Our evening entertainment by Reality Disco who were amazing had everyone up dancing where most had forgotten our evening food had been served! This was wood fired pizza with our wedding cake. The Great Hall was transformed into a room for dancing and having fun. Hospitality yet again couldn't be faulted with Anthony looking after us in the evening. He even walked our guests back to the Shepherds Huts and ourselves to the Gatehouse once our night was over. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better day and evening. Just to add, staying the night before (me as the bride) with my youngest daughters helped the process of getting ready in the morning. We made smores on my best friend's camp fire as her and her partner stayed in one of the huts the night before. It gave us a full weekend of perfect memories that will last, including myself getting ready with my bridal party in the Gatehouse that morning. Samlesbury Hall will always hold that special place in our hearts.

We got married at Samlesbury Hall in March 2026. We looked round 3 venues on the same day and Samlesbury really stood out to us. We loved that it has a long history and isn't "just" a wedding venue so we'd be able to visit in the future, and that both the interior and exterior are great spaces. The wedding team were really helpful with our questions and supportive in the run up - we were confident we were in good hands. They were also really flexible and open to our ideas. The day itself was well managed with several of our guests commenting it was one of the smoothest weddings they had been to. The quality of the food was excellent and the on site accommodation of the shepherd huts was good for our guests.
