This tiny off-grid retreat offers just a handful of bell tents, creatively kitted out with handmade beds, boho linens, and bunting-draped charm. By night, fairy lights sparkle overhead – perfect for romantic escapes or family countryside catch-ups.
The site sits three fields from gravelled parking (owners help haul luggage in wet weather), with fabulous rural views and escarpment trails into Carding Mill Valley a 10-minute walk away. Hot showers, composting loos, and washing-up facilities keep things comfortable after days yomping across the hills. Campfires and barbecues are welcome, and the peaceful setting – complete with wildlife and renewable energy – feels genuinely remote.
Cardington's traditional pub is five minutes' drive, while Church Stretton (15 minutes) has stores and takeaways. The medieval delights of Shrewsbury and Ludlow make smashing day trips, both 40 minutes away.

One of the best glamping places I have stayed in. The location is beautiful and remote. The tents are beautifully kitted out and well equipped with everything you need. It was lovely to find such a space that was group friendly, dog friendly and great value, as you could have the space to yourself if you booked as a group. The little extras like the campfire in the forest and being able to feed the lambs and goats made the trip really memorable for the children. The hosts were amazing and Jill was very welcoming and checked that we had everything we needed. A real gem of a spot and we shall definitely be back. Thanks again for a lovely weekend.

Beautiful, secluded space with gorgeous tents. We absolutely loved our stay at Alderwood Glamping and cant wait to visit again in the future. The tents had everything provided and were beautifully furnished. Thank you for an amazing stay.

We had a wonderful long weekend here staying with family. The tents were clean and extremely well set up, with each tent also having its own fire pit and BBQ. Showers were nice and warm, you need to bring towels but otherwise all linen is provided, including lots of extra blankets. Amazing scenery and loved feeding the baby lambs and goats. Jill was so accommodating and welcoming - we'd definitely recommend and would love to return!

Such a beautiful peaceful getaway. Had the best time switching off from city life and reconnecting to nature. Jill and her partner were amazing hosts and we even got to bottle feed the lambs! Will definitely be returning and highly recommend 🏕️
