Just come back from a lovely long weekend at Hawthorne Cottage site. This is such a unique compact site. Beautiful maintained, very friendly, Bev the owner is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The site is right in the middle of the woods, and skies at night on a clear night are amazing. Pitches are large and the gardens are very well maintained. Shower and toilet blocks were spotless and there is also a bike/ dog wash and dishwashing facilities. We had some lovely walks and looking forward to another visit later in the year.

Hawthorn cottage caravan site is the most idyllic, beautiful, well maintained site we have ever stayed on in 30 + years of carvanning. The facilities are spotless. The site is so very peaceful adult only, .. Right next to the beautiful woods. Bev the owner , most amazing kind, knowledgeable, hardworking, friendly lady. She goes over and above for all her guests. She keeps the sight just immaculate, & so very well maintained. She is always busy, but never to busy to stop for a chat.Just beautiful setting. We are on our 3rd stay at Hawthorn with 2 more stays already booked. Just cant praise, the site or bev enough. 100% best campsite & owner ever.

Met on arrival by our fantastic host Bev who guided us to our pitch. Site and facilities spotlessly clean, even washing up liquid and tea towels provided. Access to local woodland to keep dogs happy, literally minutes from main gate. Thank you Bev for a lovely break, all your hard work is demonstrated in the quality of you site.This was our 3rd visit to Hawthorn Cottage and highly recommended well worth a return trip. We had the most amazing stay here. From the moment we arrived, Bev was incredibly welcoming and genuinely helpful. She went above and beyond — even lending me a few things to make our stay more comfortable, which was such a kind touch. I was travelling with my two reactive dogs, and Bev was so understanding and accommodating, which made a huge difference to us being able to properly relax. It’s not always easy finding sites that feel supportive in that way. The facilities were absolutely spotless — you can tell the site is really well cared for. The location is incredible too, with beautiful walks straight into the forest directly from the site. It felt peaceful, spacious and perfectly placed for a proper switch-off break. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you Bev for making it such a lovely stay.
