About Carlyon Bay
The south coast of Cornwall delivers gorgeous beaches, ancient heritage and outdoor activities galore, and Carlyon Bay makes an excellent base for exploring it all. This family-friendly park spreads across 30 acres of meadows and landscaped gardens, with pitches surrounded by mature hydrangeas and rhododendrons that burst into fabulous colour when in bloom.
Large, level pitches offer plenty of space for awnings and extras, while facilities hit the mark with a heated outdoor pool, free crazy golf and two main play areas. Three smart modern bathroom blocks include family rooms and accessible facilities, plus there's a launderette, wifi and a food shop on site. The peaceful atmosphere means no on-site bar, but the local pub is a leisurely 10-minute walk if you fancy a pint and a meal.
Carlyon Bay beach lies just five minutes on foot – perfect for settling on the sands or joining the South West Coast Path for the 40-minute stroll to Charlestown's historic harbour. Fowey and St Austell are both about 10 minutes' drive, with buses available too.
