About Rashleigh Arms
Charlestown's historic harbour and Cornwall's coastline are just a short distance from the Rashleigh Arms, a small pub hotel on Charlestown Road in St Austell. With only 8 rooms, it has the feel of a proper local rather than a large hotel, though it comes with facilities more typical of a bigger property, including a gym, an indoor swimming pool and a spa and sauna.
Rooms are en-suite and comfortably furnished, with air conditioning, free WiFi, room service and drinks available in-room. The on-site restaurant and bar are a particular draw, with food that includes well-regarded fish and chips and Sunday roasts, plus a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a lift, luggage storage and free on-site parking for those arriving by car. Service can be slow at busier times, but staff are consistently described as friendly and welcoming.
The Rashleigh Arms also hosts weddings and meetings, with function space and business services available. Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, watersports, cycling and walking routes, along with nearby pubs and entertainment, making it a workable base for exploring this stretch of Cornwall.

What guests say
Lovely overnight stay in very comfortable room with ensuite. Cleanest ensuite I've ever stayed in, and I'm very picky about toilets and showers! Bed very comfortable, very nice breakfast included. Our dog was also accepted and the staff were all very helped and kind. Evening meal modestly priced, very tasty and plenty of it. 2 minutes walk from stunning harbour. Really recommend this place

Lovely stay at the Rashleigh, although on checking in we were informed we weren't actually staying at the pub itself but their other accommodation opposite the pub. Bit disappointed at first, as this is not mentioned on their website & the photo gallery of rooms is misleading. Having said that, the separate building was lovely, luckily our weather was good or trekking up/down to the pub for breakfast in piddling rain wouldn't have been fun. The room was ok, a bit tired looking, carpet & blind grubby, en suite old & shabby, needs a bit of a refresh, not the modern facilities you see on the website. Room was well equipped with tea/coffee etc, fan, hairdryer, even cotton buds/cotton wool in the bathroom. The bed/bedding was super comfy. It was possibly actually better staying in the separate accommodation, as the pub beer garden even from the separate accommodation was still very noisy until late at night. All the staff were lovely, welcoming & friendly. The food was all very nice, especially the breakfasts, some other reviews mentioned food not very hot, I noticed that too at times. Great location, big car park, although it's not the best under foot or for the car. Overall, loved our stay & Charlestown, but St Austell Brewery, you need to mention about the separate accommodation & show more realistic photos.

The team there are amazing and incredibly accomodating. Highchairs and drawing for kids were given to us without the need to ask, the service was so efficient and its clear nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing quality. Even though its clearly a lot better than most pubs around, its no more expensive. All the team were great but we were mostly served by Jen and she was fantastic.

Went for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed both the beef and pork. The meats were tender and tasty, whilst the veg was fresh and plentiful. The staff were all friendly and helpful even with our chatty 5 month old. The service was also quick.
