Great place. Beautifully maintained building and grounds. Excellent breakfast and choice of restaurants for dinner. We ate in the brasserie and the main restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. Indeed every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and extremely helpful. A great culture. The amenities were all of a very high standard. Overall I could not fault the place and would strongly recommend it for a stay.

My overall day was wonderful and all the staff they are very empathetic and kind. The spa is stunning and it has a very homely feel. Megan was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond when I needed support. During my swim, the back of my swimming costume unexpectedly broke, and she immediately stepped in with kindness and practical help, offering me a safety pin to save the day. What really stood out, though, was her genuine care and compassion. I was going through a difficult time, and Megan took the time to truly listen. She didn’t rush the conversation or make me feel like a burden; instead, she showed incredible empathy, patience, and understanding. Her warmth and support meant so much to me and made a real difference when I needed it most. The level of care she showed was exceptional, and it’s rare to come across someone who is both so thoughtful and genuinely invested in helping others. I can’t thank her enough and would highly recommend her to anyone. She is a true credit to what she does, she definitely deserves a pay rise or a promotion. Sophie x

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and overall had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel offers a private car park, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, and the restaurant was excellent — definitely one of the highlights. The view from the hotel is also amazing and really adds to the experience. However, there were several downsides. The walls are not soundproof at all, and it often felt like my neighbour and I were in the same room. I couldn’t sleep until they went quiet, which made it very uncomfortable. In general, quietness — which is one of the most basic expectations from a hotel — was completely lacking. In addition, the doors slam very loudly. Each morning, I was woken up early (around 8 o’clock or even earlier) by guests, staff, and cleaning activity. While I understand this isn’t intentional, the building structure makes the noise very noticeable, with doors slamming from all sides. Another issue was that breakfast was added to my bill even though I didn’t have it, which was disappointing and should be handled more carefully. Overall, while the staff, restaurant, and views were great, the noise levels and pricing make it feel a bit overpriced for the quality offered.

An amazing hotel with amazing staff where nothing was too much trouble. Great quality food with a good choice of dishes. The pool was kept spotlessly clean. Overall a great experience in a lovely location where you could relax and recharge.
