Tucked into north Cornwall's dramatic coastline just over a mile from Crackington Haven, Coxford Meadow is a small, family-run gem where the scenery – rolling countryside meeting the Atlantic – more than lives up to its billing as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spacious pitches spread across open green fields give campers plenty of breathing room, while the on-site play area keeps younger visitors happily occupied. Facilities are kept spotless, with hot showers, a microwave, freezer for ice packs and even a pool table in reception for rainy-day entertainment.
The real draw, though, is the location. Crackington Haven's beach is just five minutes by car or a rewarding mile-and-a-half walk along the South West Coast Path, and Bude, Widemouth Bay and Boscastle are all within easy reach. It's the kind of laidback, well-maintained site that draws returning guests year after year – though bear in mind it's a no-dogs policy, so four-legged friends will need to sit this one out.

A tidy well run site with friendly owners. We stayed three nights using it as a base for coast path walking, the 95 bus stops right opposite. We payed £72 for three nights Electric Hookup is extra £7. Good facilities with laundry room and showers.

Stayed here on while doing the South West Coast Path - Ann is lovely, as is her husband. Nice field, good facilities, they couldn't have been more helpful. The site is up for sale, I hope it continues as a campsite in the future!
