About Lost in Canvas

Lost in Canvas offers peaceful camping and glamping with sweeping views over Lostwithiel and the Cornish countryside. The site strikes a lovely balance between simplicity and comfort—expect hot showers, drinking water on tap, and the genuine treat of proper campfires under the stars. Families are welcome, though dogs aren't permitted, and there's no WiFi, which many visitors find refreshingly liberating.

The location puts you within fifteen minutes of sandy beaches and makes an excellent base for exploring mid-Cornwall's footpaths, historic sites, and market towns. It's the sort of place where you can genuinely switch off, with views that earn consistent praise and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to linger by the fire long after the sun's gone down.

Brilliant peaceful site with an excellent view. The pitches are quite spread out, so even when fully booked I imagine the site is still peaceful. We were greeted by Chris when we arrived who was very friendly and made sure we had no issues settling in. The toilets were very clean and much nicer than the standard toilet blocks you may be used to on most campsites. Would definitely stay again!

One of the best stays we have ever had! We loved our stay at Chris’ and wished we could have stayed longer. The view was phenomenal, the bed was so comfy, the tent itself was a great size and the entire place was incredibly clean. Lots of well thought out additions, such as milk on arrival, ice cubes, marshmallows, wood for the fire, drinking water by the bed and hot water bottles. Would definitely return and recommend!

I recently stayed here with my partner and children. I cannot fault anything! Chris had covered everything and was so helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The tent and bathroom were so clean and cosy! The views was exceptional and Chris even provided an itinerary of activities and places to eat in Cornwall. Honestly, if you want a camping experience then this is the place, the children and i loved it and will certainly go back one day.

We spent a lovely couple of nights here. The views were stunning and we really enjoyed sitting out by the camp fire. The tent was great, very comfortable and spacious, and it was really good to have our own washroom facilities, which were spotlessly clean. We'd definitely come back.
