About Namparra Campsite
Free spirits flourish at Namparra, a lush six-acre meadow on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula where you're at liberty to pick your own pitch, light your own campfire, and wake to sweeping sea views. The site shares its fields with resident alpacas, sheep, pigs and a flock of chickens whose eggs you can buy fresh from the shop—though some visitors note facilities can feel a little tired in places.
What Namparra lacks in polish it makes up for in atmosphere. The on-site Riptide Bar and Grill serves local cider and homemade cocktails over games of pool, with regular evening entertainment and a beer garden for balmy nights. Four unisex wetrooms plus a newer ladies' toilet block serve the pitches, alongside a sheltered washing-up area and laundry. Kids have in-ground trampolines for safe bouncing, while Kennack Sands—one of the Lizard's loveliest beaches—lies just a short stroll away.

What visitors say
I had a lovely time at Namparra campsite, whilst on a solo camping trip exploring Cornwall. The site itself has all of the facilities you need. As well as a bar/ restaurant that is open in the evenings, with great entertainment on certain nights, very tasty well made food and a lovely beer garden. As a solo camper this enabled me to meet and chat to others more easily, and I made a new friend. The campsite also has entrainment for children (in the form of big trampolines) and a number of different animals, so is very suitable for families too. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and will go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. The location was ideal for my Cornwall plans, which included scuba diving at Porthkerris, a visit to the beautiful Kynance Cove and an 18 mile hike along the beautiful coastal path down to The Lizard point and back. Thank you for a great time all! 😊

Great things about this campsite: - water taps available. - Washing machine and dryer room. - Separate shower blocks and toilet blocks. - Friendly animals behind the paddock. - ‘Pick your own’ pitch style was lovely so everyone kept a lot of space from each other. - One of the managers (I think) was fixing one of the bathrooms so u could see that they were trying to improve on things and he was lovely. Things to be aware of when camping here - the showers are abysmal, they stank and were dirty. - The shower blocks don’t have lights in them which can be scary. - There are fields next door with kids that scream into the night (not the owners fault, however something to consider) - Some animals were free roaming and following us around which was really uncomfortable - The place is infested with spiders and you will find webs EVERYWHERE - We stayed at the lower half corner off the field where there was a pathway to a river, some people who lived on the site came through there intoxicated which made us really uncomfortable and didn’t make us feel safe(especially because we had a child with us), they even commented saying how they weren’t allowed to do it after apologising but it was super weird. All in all if your a camping snob you will not like it because it’s definitely more ‘wild’ camping style but the people working there are lovely and you can tell they care about what they’re doing. I think they have had a bad season and people completely ripping them apart in reviews is drumming up bad business. We stayed for three days and it was a good experience, just some things need improvement from a hygiene and safety perspective

We recently stayed here for a big gathering, part of my friends birthday. The check in process was easy, members of staff were friendly. Campsite in general is big. Pitch that we was on was great but wish there was more electric hook ups. Toilets and showers was great (Toilet roll could of been topped up over the weekend though). Kids loved the play park & animals (even got to feed them). Great location with a short walk to the beach. If we was ever back down this way we would stay here again! We had an amazing time here

This campsite is absolutely woeful. Low expectations and low standards from the management who clearly take no care in the running of the free-for-all-field. This results in dogs fouling by your tent, unruly and unpleasant campers who swear and shout into the early hours, filthy showers and toilets with no lights. We should have turned around when we were greeted with the junkyard and grotty reception but had already paid the deposit. I feel sorry for any family looking forward to a camping trip here - it's the worst we've ever been to by a long mile. Avoid at all costs!
