About Penhallow House Glamping Retreat

Tucked into peaceful Cornish countryside, Penhallow House Glamping Retreat keeps things intimate with just a handful of pitches, each kitted out with electric blankets and proper outlets. The real draw, though, is the breakfast barn—stocked with fresh eggs and homemade muffins—which sets you up nicely before heading to Newquay's beaches or the surf schools, both within 15 minutes. Fire pits and barbecues let you cook under the stars, and there's a communal fridge plus an on-site shop for essentials.

Guests praise the warm welcome and clean facilities, though as an adults-only, no-dogs site, it won't suit everyone. The launderette and wifi cover practical bases, while Truro sits 20 minutes south if you fancy a market-town wander. With forest walks on the doorstep and the A30 five minutes away, it strikes a tidy balance between seclusion and easy coastal access—just note the small Greener Camping Club membership fee (refunded if you're already signed up).

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Penhallow house this weekend. A gorgeous place packed with scenery and beautiful wildlife. We stayed in one of the glamping pods, everything and more was provided by our hosts who were so lovely. Breakfast room was constantly stocked and with such a great variety, even fresh eggs!! My boyfriend and I will most certainly be visiting here again. Everything was perfect.

You get what you pay for, great price for facilities available. The description of the camping is correct and accurate. Friendly and welcoming. Nice little village within walking distance. No washing dishes, great bonus !! The lane leading to the property .. ahhh ! But it is mentioned in the description so nothing is hidden. Loved the breakfast idea though not so continental as in the photos they have provided but still lovely fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs, jams, cereals, home made muffins and free tea and coffee all day ! :)

I had the perfect getaway in nature, was well taken care of by the wonderful hosts and connected with other guests too. I particularly loved the beautiful old woodland and the wildlife - the birdsong was astonishing (and I only live up the road!) Public footpaths and a national cycle path await the adventurous soul. There's also everything you need for a bit more glam: generous breakfast barn, WiFi, great pub-restaurants nearby.

We loved it... Perfect getaway with 2 great hosts!! Adored them. Beautiful house, beautiful area, lovely toilet/shower area. A few minor tweaks around the campsite needed (paths going to Bell tents esp past caravan area-be careful- also need lights, maybe cheap solar lights every few feet as a guide through field... and shame the tents weren't pointing outward toward the beautiful corn friends, the view of the sunsets 🥰 rather than the bushes) ... BUT wow I'd live here tbh 😍🩷👌🏼✨️
