About Pentire Coastal Holiday Park
Perched near Bude's dramatic coastline, Pentire Coastal Holiday Park delivers spotless ensuite glamping pods – some with sweeping views over the surrounding countryside – in a genuinely peaceful setting. The thirteen pods (six of them dog-friendly) come well-equipped and spacious, making them popular with families and couples alike. Staff earn consistent praise for their welcoming, helpful approach, and the location strikes a fine balance: quiet enough to unwind properly, yet handy for exploring Bude's beaches and the wider North Cornwall coast.
While the park keeps things straightforward rather than packing in entertainment, that suits guests looking for a relaxed base rather than a resort experience. WiFi keeps everyone connected, and the overall standard of upkeep is high.

What visitors say
My family and I had great time at Pentire. We hired a platinum caravan which accommodated our dog. The caravan was spotless, with a great facilities and fantastic location, allowing us to see great sunsets from our balcony! The site also has an enclosed dog run alongside a kids park. It location is perfect for discovering North Cornwall, with Port Issac also only an 1 hour away. We'd highly recommend this site.

Lovely experience staying at Pentire Coastal Holiday Park over Christmas. Lovely and peaceful, yet very convenient for local attractions, and good access to most of the sights of North Devon and Cornwall. Very clean and tidy, including shared facilities like the dog wash and children's play area. Static lodge caravans very spacious, well equipped for self catering holidays.

We have stayed in Bude many times but this is the first time at Pentire Coastal Holiday Park. We were phoned around midday on the day of arrival to say our Platinum 2 bedroom caravan was ready, we could check in early. That was a nice gesture. The caravan was to a very high standard, immaculate and very clean. The views from the decking were fantastic. Walking around the site, it’s very quiet. It’s well maintained, the groundsmen do a first class job. On the second day, maintenance came to the caravan to check everything was ok, any problems to contact them. The location in Kilkhampton is 5 miles from Bude, 10 minutes and you are in Summerleaze car park. We booked for 4 nights, we were able to extend for an extra night. We would have stayed longer if we hadn’t got commitments. Thanks to all the staff who were very friendly and helpful. You made our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely return.

0 STARS!!! DISGUSTING ACCOMMODATION AND HORRENDOUS AFTER CARE Absolutely unacceptable experience and even worse aftercare. AVOID !!! PHOTOS UPLOADED ON TRUST PILOT We booked a glamping pod at Pentire Holiday Park for what was meant to be a rare, much needed family break with my daughter and our dog. We very rarely get time away due to work, so this was something we were genuinely excited about and had planned for weeks. What we arrived to was shocking. The pod had an immediate unpleasant smell on entry and visible dog hair. We tried to give the benefit of the doubt and aired it out, but when we returned later that evening it became obvious the accommodation had simply not been properly cleaned at all. There was large amounts of black hair everywhere both animal and human, thick dust throughout, and what appeared to be dead skin build up in multiple areas. Dog food was literally left under cabinets. The bedding area was particularly bad with heavy clumps of hair along the mattress edges. It was so unclean that simply moving around caused hair and dust to become airborne, getting into our eyes, nose and throat. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable for any paid accommodation, let alone somewhere marketed as a holiday stay. My daughter was visibly upset and kept complaining about hair in her mouth and discomfort. We are not precious people at all, we have animals and are used to mess, but this was beyond anything reasonable. By the time we realised the full extent of it, reception was closed and there was nobody available on site to deal with it. We were left with no support whatsoever. We attempted to sleep on the sofa bed instead, but the conditions were still unbearable. The smell, dust and hair made it impossible to settle. External lighting also meant we could not properly air the pod. During the night both myself and my daughter developed symptoms including blocked noses, itchy eyes and irritation. I personally experienced chest tightness which had been under control for years. In the end we had no choice but to leave at 2am and drive home exhausted. And then comes the most frustrating part, the aftercare. A week later I received a call from the manager who apologised and told me a refund had already been approved and would be processed promptly. I sent my bank details immediately. Nearly two weeks later, I am still waiting. I have now been told it has not even been processed and they are asking again for bank details that were already provided. This is chaotic, disorganised and completely unacceptable. So not only was the accommodation filthy and unfit for use, but the handling of complaints and promised refund has been just as poor. I would strongly advise anyone considering booking here to think twice. If something goes wrong, there is clearly no proper cleaning standard, no on-site support when needed, and no reliable aftercare when things are acknowledged and promised. A deeply disappointing experience from start to finish.
