Sandy Cott comes ready to use. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all provided, and the kitchen is fitted out for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge—rather than making do. The single-storey layout keeps everything on one level: an open-plan living and dining space with Freeview TV, two bedrooms (one double, one with singles), and a bathroom with shower over the bath. A garden with furniture sits outside, and there is parking for one car on site.

The lodge occupies its own corner on Penstowe Holiday Park, near Kilkhampton in North Cornwall. The beaches start 3¼ miles away—Northcott Mouth and Sandymouth among them—and Bude, with its restaurants, galleries and castle, is close by. A pub is within a mile. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Smoking is not permitted. The property sleeps four and has one bathroom.
