About Pleasant Streams Farm Camping
Pleasant Streams Farm Camping offers a genuine back-to-basics escape in the Cornish countryside near St Austell, where campfires crackle under the stars and the rural setting feels genuinely tranquil. Families appreciate the straightforward, traditional approach – there's no WiFi to distract from the experience, just clean facilities including showers and drinking water, plus the freedom to gather around your own fire as evening falls.
The farm's rural location provides a peaceful base for exploring Cornwall's attractions, though some visitors note that facilities can feel a touch dated and the site occasionally lacks the polish of more manicured campsites. Still, if you're after an unpretentious, nature-focused stay where children can roam and you can truly unplug, Pleasant Streams delivers exactly what its strapline promises.

What visitors say
The hosts were so pleasant and helpful, I absolutely loved my stay with them and would book again. I stayed in a double room with en-suite and it was so pretty and the bed comfy and room clean. Fresh milk and orange juice each day, I’m planning my return trip already ! Fantastic!

I live nearby and just wanted a quiet few nights away. Pleasant Streams was perfect. The weekend I was there, there were quite a few other campers but well spaced. I'm planning another few nights there soon and will try the back field (with pit toilets, I love that basic, rustic and even quieter experience). Nights were incredibly silent, it was so nice to finally feel like I was camping again, instead of somewhere with tons of tents and vans piled on top of each other. Bonus: watching the ducks waddling in a line from the pond up the road each morning. They were fascinated by my (cold) firepit.

4th visit here. Regular stopover when on business in Cornwall. Peaceful, super clean and great strolls on the doorstep.

Very basic campsite with limited facilities. I loved the peaceful atmosphere but the lack of facilities put me off. Could be so much more. We booked online, then when we arrived were told we had booked the wrong sized pitch, so had to pay extra. Toilets were poor - three compost loos and one flushing ladies & one flushing gents (no lock on ladies). Showers average. No washing up facilities which is hard if you're staying longer than a few days. Owner of campsite was not unpleasant but not friendly either. Make sure you book the correct sized pitch! On a plus side, the campsite was picturesque (think Darling Buds of May) but I won't be returning.
