Pennans Farm is an adults-only site on a working family farm in rural Mid Cornwall, ideally positioned between coasts – fifteen minutes' drive from southern shores like Mevagissey and the South West Coast Path, half an hour from Newquay and the north coast beaches.
This is proper countryside camping: spacious non-electric grass pitches spread across a peaceful farm field, dark skies for stargazing, and fresh eggs available daily for breakfast. A good number of beaches lie within fifteen minutes for coastal walks or watersports – Pentewan Sands, Porthpean, Carlyon Bay, Gorran Haven – while cyclists can explore trails around Pentewan Valley and the wider St Austell area. The facilities are basic (composting toilets, showers, washing-up area), so it's best suited to those after a simpler, back-to-basics escape.
Dogs are welcome year-round, and Grampound's pub and village shop are five minutes away. Truro, Cornwall's cathedral city, is twenty minutes west.
