Great bed and breakfast in a really peaceful rural location. Janie is a fantastic host who goes the extra mile to ensure your stay with her is as comfortable as possible. Lovely individual rooms with a great outlook. Very relaxing surroundings and within close proximity to local attractions and villages. Highly recommend a stay in this lovely place.

Couldn’t recommend Mike and Janie at Lower Barns highly enough! Our dream was to elope in Cornwall, and from the very first moment we contacted Lower Barns, we knew something felt different. We instantly knew we wanted Mike and Janie to be part of our special day. They are incredibly welcoming and made the entire wedding process feel calm, relaxed and completely at ease - exactly what we wanted and truly needed! Since getting married in 2022, we’ve returned to stay as B&B guests twice. Once to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and again with my parents and our young daughter. Both visits have been equally exceptional and have left us with memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime. Lower Barns holds a very special place in our hearts - we hope to visit again in the future!

Janie and Mike are superstars for holding our micro wedding here last September, we’re a family of four, plus our pup. We organised everything via email with Janie, which meant for us it was straight forward and convenient when there so much else to plan. Our wedding was perfect, location, rooms, gardens, flowers, food - even the weather got the memo. The accommodation is homely but on a luxurious level, well equipped rooms, all of us felt comfortable and safe, Janie’s attention to detail is amazing, both in design and planning at lower barns, you can tell her heart is really at the centre of everything she does. The whole team at lower barns are very attentive without being intrusive. Breakfasts cooked by Mike were hearty and healthy, we also say a huge thank you for capturing pictures of us all - not the easiest task - our families and friends are so grateful to be able to glimpse into elements of our wedding day. Shout out to Janie’s sister, Jodie, thank you for everything and making our stay so wonderful. Our little pup Robyn was happy here and said hello to the oh-so-cute, Frida. What a fabulous place lower barns is, a true hidden gem. We wish Janie, Mike & Lower Barns all the best for their future. Thank you all.

We had the most amazing little wedding and stay at Lower Barns. The rooms and gardens are beautiful and eclectic- unlike anywhere I've ever been! We stayed in the Hayloft Hangout with our children and we all felt at home right away, it is so confortable with beautiful things everywhere. Breakfast was amazing and the hosting from Janie and Mike was exceptional! Such a special place- cannot recommend highly enough!
