About Rectory Farm Wild Camping
Wild camping in Cornwall tick all the boxes for you? Set yourself up at Rectory Farm Wild Camping, a pop-up site in a spacious, level meadow on an organic farm just a short stroll from the South West Coast Path. Sandymouth Bay's lifeguarded beach is five minutes by car for rockpooling and sea-splashing, while Bude (20 minutes) offers shops, cafés and a natural tidal pool. Dogs are welcome year-round, with circular walks leading straight from the field to a handsome church and the quirky Hawker's Hut, both about 10 minutes on foot.
The on-site tea rooms are a few steps from your pitch, and the local pub less than five minutes' walk. Facilities are simple – portable loos, a hot shower, drinking water – and because the site runs off-grid, torches and battery packs are essential. Some may find the basic set-up a touch spartan, but for those after a genuine taste of wild camping with easy coastal access, it's a winner.

What visitors say
I arrived at Wildly Camping after a long day hiking the South West Coast Path. Although the campsite was fully booked, Nick (the owner) kindly made space for my tent so I had somewhere to stay for the night. He was incredibly helpful, made sure I had everything I needed, and gave me such a warm welcome. Thank you again for that! The campsite has a very laid-back and friendly atmosphere. It’s family-friendly, and all the campers were respectful and considerate. You get a peaceful night-sleep there, falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Clean hot showers and toilet block, enough space between the pitches. The center only a 15-minute walk away, everything you need for a relaxed holiday. I will definitely return to Wildly Camping!

Great little campsite in a great location. Facilities are basic but kept in pristine condition - and for us that is all we need! Decent sized pitches, we had a campervan with an awning attached on the side and still had room to set up a little outdoor BBQ/chill area. From the campsite it is a relatively flat 15 minute walk to the beach/Crooklets and then a further 5 minutes on into Bude! The owner Nick was also incredibly helpful with any queries before going and during our stay. Perfect little campsite for couples, families, children of any age and dogs!! Will definitely be heading back soon!
