About Sun Haven Holiday Park
Sun Haven Holiday Park sits tucked away near Newquay, offering a quieter alternative to Cornwall's busier sites. The two ensuite shepherd's huts come with private hot tubs – a proper treat after exploring the coast – and guests consistently praise how clean and well-equipped the accommodation is. The woodland walk down to the beach gets special mention in reviews, while the on-site shop and bar mean you needn't venture far for essentials or a decent meal.
Staff here are genuinely helpful, and prices remain pleasingly reasonable for this corner of Cornwall. It's worth noting the site doesn't accept pets, which keeps things peaceful but rules it out for those travelling with dogs. As a straightforward, comfortable base for exploring Newquay and beyond, it delivers exactly what it promises.

What visitors say
First time staying here, just happened to be on the hottest week of the year so far. We stayed here with our dog Bruce and we and him absolutely loved it. On arrival we found a doggie welcome pack that had treats, poo bags, a toy and a blanket, something we weren't expecting. The accommodation felt very new, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the Sandcastle bar was great. They have a small food menu, but all the food we had was nice, it had a great atmosphere and we visited almost evey day. There is a lovely woodland walk to the beach which is probably a mile at most and well worth a walk. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay and we will be going back, hopefully it will be a touch cooler.

We've been coming here for many years now, and honestly can't fault this place! The staff are always really friendly, and nothings too much trouble. We stayed here last Easter and they even provided eggs & goodies for our kids, which went down well! On our first night we requested some additional bedding, literally within 5 mins there was a knock on the door from a friendly guy with more pillows & duvets, even in the pouring rain! The site's always very well kept, with great facilities for us and the kids, and we love the woodland walk to and from the beach. Our lodges have always been really nice, clean as a whistle, and well equipped. The beds are super comfy too, which certainly isn't always the case with other places. We were so impressed with the comfort of the pillows, we ended up asking reception where they get them from, so we could source some of our own for at home! It's a real shame they no longer have camping here, as it was easily our favourite campsite in Cornwall, but we still love it anyway. Just booked it again for this Easter, so looking forward to another stay, as good as the rest!😀

Amazing place! Absolutely love it here. Super dog friendly and it’s a lovely walk to the beach through a pine forest where the dogs can be off lead. The lodges are all really comfortable, the park is beautifully maintained and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. We come back each year. Lovat? LOVE-IT!

Lovely park. We’ve a stayed at Lovat’ Padstow a couple of times and ventured to Sun Haven for our daughter’s 2nd birthday. Upgraded to the Exec Lodge for a nominal cost and couldn’t have been happier. We sent decorations so that our daughter was surprised and the team decorated the Lodge superbly. Lovely woodland walk to the beach and also benefits from 2 x 22kwh EV Chargers (Podpoint), but a couple of Lodges have their own chargers that I guess would work if staying in those. Definitely going to come back!
