The Oaks Holiday Park

We had a lovely stay at The Oaks Holiday Park in Looe. Louise and her family are lovely hosts. The caravan was very clean which, considering the vans are all dog friendly, is a big plus point as so often they still have lots of hair and stains everywhere. Not so here! The cream tea and washing up bits provided was a nice touch as well and greatly appreciated. Louise was even happy to hang our wash load out to dry on their washing line instead of using their dryer and even offered to put vanish on any stains. The general location is fantastic. So calm and peaceful and beautiful scenery to admire from your terrace (as per photo) Overall we loved the stay and will definately be back for another next year. Thank you 🙏

Me my partner and our small dog stayed here for a week and I can confidently say it was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed ever. The glamping pod was cleaner than most hotels and the complimentary cream tea really made my day. I only had a brief conversation with the owner however she was very professional and accommodating to our needs. We will 100% be back this year and probably next year aswell

BEWARE SCAMMERS - agreed a partial refund because of the below but this was not sent, Louise renegaded on the agreement. Devon and Cornwall Police have a record of this incident. Wow Louise totally lied below, I had to leave the park myself due to her telling me I had to drive my car drunk after offering to be blocked in or for her to move it. They could even have opened the other gate to let the other campers in. 4 people were having a go at one person. Honestly shocking, I asked Louise to tell me where parking was noted in the comprehensive set of rules and she said nothing. VERY ABUSIVE OWNERS! Sadly my stay was ruined, other campers and the older owner seem to have some really bad attitude problems. A simple issue which I was trying to deal with respectfully led to the owner asking me to drive drunk 🤯 Crazy given the reviews suggesting pet friendliness and even free range chickens are on site, let alone the human risk and legal consequences. The business needs a rethink if something as simple as indicating parking spaces reaches that level of escalation. This isn’t a friendly campsite run by locals sadly, you can easily tell the owners are not laid back and where there are clear rules designed to keep everything calm they only selectively choose to implement them. It ruined my stay to be honest, as I shouldn’t be being sworn at and told to drive my car drunk. D&CP will be told about it but I’d warn anyone coming here to be careful. You can expect intimidation by the older owner and simple issues to become full blown holiday running drama on your first night. Very sad, luckily there are many great alternatives! Go to the lizard peninsular instead and you’ll have a better location, much friendlier hosts and if that’s too far, go to Tencreek or Trelawne nearby which I’ve stayed at before and both will provide a much improved experience and be better located.

Satnav directions are not quite accurate; on leaving B2353, ignore the instruction to turn to left (along farm track). Proceed for further 300 yards, then site is on left. Site is very pleasant, toilet rooms contain shower (free), wash basin, and toilet, with paper. Standard plots are level hard standing, with fake grass alongside for awning. Premium plots are sloping. Wonderful open views across countryside. Access is by very narrow single-track lanes.
