About Trevalon

Tucked on a working organic farm with views rolling across the Looe Valley, Trevalon is a seasonal pop-up site that strips camping back to basics – compost loos, hot showers, washing-up sinks and not much else. The lack of electric hook-ups and manicured facilities is entirely the point: this is wild camping for families and groups who want to fall asleep to the sounds of the countryside, wake up to birdsong, and share their pitch with voles, field mice and the odd curious insect (bring a sealable box for food storage).

It's a 10-minute stroll to the tiny hamlet of Herodsfoot, once a hive of lead and silver mining, now utterly peaceful. From here, south-east Cornwall's fishing villages and coast paths around Fowey are half an hour by car, while Bodmin Moor's granite tors lie 15 minutes north. The farm sells its own organic veg, cider and apple juice, and campfires are welcomed under the stars.

Stunning scenery, great host and a perfect place to escape from it all with friends and family. Lovely local walks to amazing quartz stone circle and country pub! Plus one can easily get to the south coast for a day at the sea. The farm is very friendly and you have a sense that a lot of love and dedication has been put into every aspect of the working farm. Highly recommended.

Beautifully located organic vegatable farm within the Cornish countryside. Sustainable growing methods and produce gives the farm an earthy nature. Enjoyed staying the weekend, camping in the fields with open fire located for warmth. Many thanks to the staff for creating such a wonderful atmosphere!Would definitely visit again.

What a lovely camping experience. Mark couldn't do enough for us and I'd definitely go back for more! Beautiful views, great compost loos, peaceful and loads of space. Perfect for groups who want to escape the rammed, noisy conditions of many other sites. Thankyou 🧡
