About Old Lanwarnick
If waking up to sunlight filtering through the trees sounds appealing, Old Lanwarnick delivers exactly that. This 34-acre Cornish farm offers spacious glamping pods 15 minutes from seaside Looe, each kitted out with kingsize beds (linens supplied), outdoor kitchens with gas hobs, fridges and all the cookware you need, plus gas barbecues for alfresco feasts. Exclusive-use showers sit right beside each pod on raised decking, while rechargeable lamps and hairdryers add thoughtful touches inside. Two loungers await outside for stargazing on clear nights.
The site itself is a peaceful wildlife haven with woodland trails, valley walks and friendly resident alpacas. A dog agility area and fully secure garden make it brilliant for four-legged guests, and the communal firepit (complete with log basket) encourages evening mingling. Several beaches lie within 20 minutes' drive, including Looe, Hannafore and dog-friendly Samphire.
With a 4.9 Google rating and genuinely tiny scale (just a handful of pitches), Old Lanwarnick feels more like a private rural escape than a conventional campsite—though the gravel terrain can be uneven underfoot.

What visitors say
We stayed at the Spice Barn for a long weekend in March and for the most part had a lovely time but I think there are a few things worth noting for anyone with anything but a perfect dog! When booking we saw that no dogs were allowed on the furniture, which is fine, not uncommon but then there are photos of dogs on the sofa? Then when we got there the guest information said no dogs downstairs in the sleeping area as well which was a challenge as both dogs are used to sleeping next to the bed. The inconsistency was confusing. Furthermore, if I had seen there was a kennels half a mile away I would have considered whether this was the right stay for us. The barking, particularly in the morning from about 5am, was relentless and unsettled our dogs causing a less than calming atmosphere! This was such a shame as the setting was otherwise great. Overall the barn was clean and tidy, it was a nice place to have a base to explore the local area. The online guest guide was great and really helpful. No option to add photos!

This is the perfect location for families with dogs who like a bit of peace and quiet. With some beautiful walks and a short drive away from the stunning Cornish coastline.

This is our 4th year returning to the cottages, staying in Rainbow twice, Blackberry and the Farmhouse twice. For the past 2 visits in the farmhouse we have had the outside caterers Abi & Natalie as advertised on website. The meals & service were out of this world. We cannot rate these cottages high enough, the cottages, facilities, welcome & service from Vicky & Matthew are above & beyond. It has become our second home and have already booked twice for next year as we love it soooo much. The quietness, first class accommodation not to mention the hot tub and our dog loves the walks & facilities for him. Topped up this visit with feeding & meeting the Alpacas! They are truly adorable & can't wait to see the new babies next year. Vicky, Matthew & team you should be so proud with what you've have achieved & still are! Huge pat on the back to you all...and already counting the days till we are back...thankyou again🥰🥰
