Acorn Moorings

Photo: Megan Ellis

The Rame Peninsula curves into the sea south of Falmouth, quieter and more sheltered than the exposed north coast. Acorn Moorings sits in this landscape as a contemporary house built to take advantage of the setting, with its main living spaces on the upper floor to capture views across the tidal lake. The layout opens onto a covered balcony large enough for dining outdoors, and from here the water and countryside beyond fill the sight lines.

Inside, four bedrooms and three bathrooms accommodate eight people comfortably. The ground floor holds a separate entrance and additional space for gathering. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there is parking on the property. No smoking is permitted.

This part of Cornwall sits within reach of several beaches—Whitsand Bay, Cawsand and Portrinkle are all nearby—and the coast itself invites exploration on foot. Mylor Yacht Harbour lies close by for anyone interested in water activity. The setting suits families and friend groups wanting both privacy and space to spend time together.
