Anneth Lowen is a ground-floor cottage in Frogpool, a hamlet between Truro and Redruth in mid-Cornwall. The location puts you within reach of Bissoe Nature Reserve—less than 2 miles off—where a mineral trail winds down to Portreath Beach, or Tehidy Country Park 10 miles away for woodland walks. Gwennap Pit and the Carn Marth circular route are nearby for a sense of the area's mining heritage. Portreath itself, a sandy beach with a café, is 7 miles south.
Inside, the cottage sleeps three in a double and single bedroom, with a pull-out bed or cot if needed. The living and kitchen space is open-plan and looks onto a private enclosed garden with lawn, seating and a small pond—a spot for evening stargazing and listening to owls. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine, so self-catering is straightforward. A woodburner, Freeview TV, wi-fi and parking are on site. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with heating and electricity. No smoking inside.
