Ash Tree Cottage
Cornwall
The north Cornish coast lies within a short drive, and the beach at Porthtowan is under 10 minutes away by car. Walkers can step straight onto the Great Flat Lode footpaths, which cross terrain shaped by centuries of tin and copper mining—the ruins and engine houses of the World Heritage sites dot the landscape around you. The Cornish Way cycle route runs nearby too. For rainy days or longer excursions, St Ives and Penzance are accessible for the coast and galleries, while the Eden Project sits about an hour inland.
Ash Tree Cottage is a converted granite barn with high ceilings and exposed stone beams. Downstairs is open-plan, combining living space with a kitchen where you can cook proper meals, and a dining area. There is one double bedroom and a shower room. A utility room holds a washing machine. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; you also have a patio with furniture and a barbecue. Parking for one car is on site. The cottage sleeps two and is yours alone—no shared spaces or other guests. No smoking indoors.
