Truro sits at the head of a tidal river in central Cornwall, with coastal villages like Porthtowan within minutes. Villa Calafia is a single-storey, modernised property set back from the bustle, offering private accommodation for six across three double bedrooms. The master has an en-suite; a separate family bathroom serves the other two rooms. Everything is on ground level, opening onto a rear garden that backs onto open countryside.

The heart of the house is a large open-plan kitchen with an island, induction hob, electric oven and ample workspace. This flows directly into the living area, where a wood burner and smart TV face bi-folding doors that open onto a sun deck. The garden itself is the main draw: a substantial space of decking, patio and lawn with sitting furniture for outdoor dining, a firepit, barbecue and a six-person hot tub (available March to November). A useful plant room is handy for wetsuits and outdoor gear. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; there is also private parking for three cars and an electric vehicle charging point. Smoking is not permitted. The location is quiet—at the end of a cul-de-sac with no through traffic—yet Porthtowan village and its beach, shops and surf hire are a short walk or drive away.
