Beach View suits families, groups and couples after a proper seaside base. The three-bedroom apartment sits on the second floor of a building with lift access, opening onto a balcony that overlooks Fistral Beach and the headland beyond. You get a king bed in the main bedroom with ensuite shower, a double in the second room, and two singles in the third—plus a second bathroom with bath and shower. The open-plan living and dining area has French doors back to the balcony, a 46-inch TV, Sky, Blu-ray, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360, along with books and games.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, and there's parking for one car. If you're bringing a dog, the property welcomes pets and comes with extras like food bowls and collar discs; a travel cot and highchair are available on request. Newquay itself is a working seaside town with miles of sandy beaches, restaurants ranging from casual to serious (Rick Stein has three in nearby Padstow), and year-round attractions. The apartment does not permit smoking inside.
