Beech Lodge is a four-bedroom property on the Retallack Resort near Newquay, sleeping up to 8 guests across two floors. The ground floor holds an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space that opens onto a large decked area with garden furniture and a barbecue, while upstairs there's a second sitting room with a television and access to a balcony. One bedroom has zip-and-link single beds, another has bunks; two further doubles or singles are upstairs. You get two bathrooms between you—one with a bath and shower, one with a shower—plus essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi included. If you're travelling with a young child or a dog, there's a cot, highchair, stairgate and doggy extras on hand.
The resort sits roughly midway between Padstow and Newquay in countryside close to the North Cornwall coast. The property opens onto shared facilities including a tennis court and children's play area, and there's a swimming pool, sauna and gym available for an additional charge. One car can be parked on site. The resort also hosts a wave machine for surfing, a pitch and putt, and a restaurant and bar, though these incur separate fees. Smoking is not permitted inside. Newquay itself is about 15 minutes away, known for its beaches and surf scene; Padstow lies in the opposite direction.
