Chywood Barn

This former granite stable, converted and updated over the years, sits at the end of a private road in a two-acre valley between Cornwall's north and south coasts. The single open-plan living space has a wood burner beneath cathedral beams, a kitchen with electric cooking and dishwasher, and a dining area. Upstairs, a galleried double bedroom opens via French doors to your own tiered garden; the ensuite has a walk-in shower. Everything essential—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—is included, along with initial logs for the fire.

The grounds include woodland to explore, though there is an unfenced pond 50 yards from the cottage. You have private parking for one car. Helston and Porthleven are each roughly 3 miles away; public footpaths start at the property. The cottage is one of two holiday buildings here. Smoking is not permitted, and children are not accommodated except infants in arms.
