The Barn

The Barn is a single-storey conversion in a secluded rural setting, three miles from Helston. You arrive to find everything on one level: an open-plan living and dining area with French doors onto a patio, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with kingsize bed, and an ensuite wet room. The whole property is yours alone, with parking for two cars and an enclosed garden that overlooks natural woodland. Wi-Fi, electricity, heating and bed linen are all included.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and air fryer, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. In the living area, there's a TV and DVD player, and an electric fire for cosier evenings. From the patio you can sit out into the garden, which has a small pond sheltered by tall trees and a shared woodland sitting area beyond.

This suits couples wanting quiet; children except babies in arms are not accommodated. The garden has steps and sloping banks. Nearby are Praa Sands and Porthleven beaches, Helston's shops and restaurants, and from here you can reach Falmouth, the Lizard Peninsula, St Ives and the Helford River creeks without too much driving.
