Wheal Metal Lodge
Cornwall
This corner of Cornwall puts you between two contrasting coastlines: sheltered creeks and coves face south, while the north hosts the region's most dramatic beaches. Penzance lies within easy reach, its seafront promenade and leisure facilities a short drive away. The lodge itself sits on land that was once part of the Godolphin Estate, now National Trust property, making this a quieter alternative to busier tourist spots.
Wheal Metal Lodge is a detached property sleeping two, arranged entirely on one level. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed; the second offers two singles but suits flexible sleeping arrangements only. A shower room serves both. The living and dining space comes with a television, DVD and CD players, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and a washer-dryer. Essentials like electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, and there's a welcome pack on arrival.
Outside, an enclosed garden with patio and furniture faces onto space for a barbecue. The property has parking for two cars and an electric charging point. An eight-step approach leads to the entrance. The lodge suits couples seeking a coastal retreat; it does not accommodate children under 18. No smoking is permitted indoors.
