Fairmaiden

Polruan sits across the water from Fowey, a working fishing village where the streets slope down to the quay and the South West Coast Path runs along the headland beyond. Fairmaiden occupies an elevated position above the water, giving it views across the estuary and a real sense of being part of the place rather than apart from it.

The property sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double with its own shower room on the ground floor, and two pairs of singles on the first and second floors, the latter with a bathroom that has a bath and shower. The living and dining spaces are on the ground floor with a wood burner, a kitchen equipped for self-catering, and access to an enclosed courtyard garden with seating. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. One dog stays free; no smoking indoors.

Kayaking and sailing are available on the river, and the coastal path offers walks in either direction. Fowey itself, a short walk or boat ride away, has restaurants and the Shipmates off licence if you need supplies. Parking is available on the quayside about 300 yards away, at a small cost.
