Bank Voles Nest is a single-storey bungalow a short distance from Looe, in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Cornish coast. Everything happens on one level: a combined living, dining and kitchen space opens directly from the entrance, with two bedrooms and a shower room completing the layout. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two singles. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.
The real draw is the heated outdoor swimming pool, shared with other properties on-site and open May to September. It measures 10m by 4m with depths ranging from 0.5m to 1.5m, and operates 10am to 7pm. A patio with garden furniture overlooks it, making space for meals outside. The coastal path runs nearby, and Looe itself—the setting for the TV drama Beyond Paradise—is close by bus or car. There is parking for one vehicle on-site, with additional visitor spaces available. The property does not allow smoking and is reserved for couples, families and holidaymakers.

A mixed bag. The site is lovely, really well maintained, with pretty flowers. The pool is a lovely facility to have too. Be careful which bungalow you choose. Some are much better than others. We had 11A and we wouldn’t return. It was musty, damp and the mattress in the double bed was terrible - really hard bits it in, which bruised us! The standard of cleanliness wasn’t great either. But it was priced accordingly. I would have preferred to pay more for a better standard though. 14 looks lovely, as does some of the others.

Booked for a short break, easy to find, stone tiny bungalow, Idea for 2. Found it a bit musty, damp on arrival but soon improved after a burst of heat. Ended up cosy. Not ideally close to eateries, had to drive to eat. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, rained quite a bit so cut out doing what we wanted to do using the bungalow as a centre point.

We stayed at Granite Henge last week for 4 nights and it was lovely. A very cosy little cottage with a shared swimming pool which, although a bit cold was nice and refreshing. The owners had left us complementary tea coffee sugar and milk which was a welcome surprise. All in all lovely stay, would definitely stay again.

Stayed in moles a few times over the last 4 years, tried to book again for this year but the price jump was far to high, ended up booking another property (better equipped)in the same site with toadhall holidays alot cheaper. Love coming here as the site is always clean, excellently maintained and of a really high standard. The gardens and grounds are beautiful with an array of stunning blooms of all varieties. There's no better way to spend a morning in the tranquility of the pool. Matt ( site manager)is just simply awesome 👌 always friendly with a smile, welcoming and happy to help.
